The New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, is no longer in existence and would soon cease to exist, according to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ganduje claims that the NNPP is no longer in existence and that Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, wishes to rejoin the APC.

When the Tinubu Support Group, TSG, delegation arrived at the party secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, the immediate former governor of Kano State gave a speech.

He declared that Kwankwaso would be greeted with open arms by the ruling party.

He said, “The NNPP is dead. And it will soon be buried very, very soon. I’m looking at where we will bury the body, the coffin has already been constructed.

“What remains now is to dig the grave. And already they are digging the grave very, very soon.

“Even like that, the so-called NNPP national leader, he too, he says after losing everyone, he wants to come back to us, we will welcome him, because he’s coming back home,” he said.

Kwankwaso and the NNPP, however, have repeatedly denied the APC’s conspiracy theories about defection.

Kwankwaso stated that Ganduje would join him in the NNPP, not the other way around, at the recent NNPP National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.

Ladipo Johnson, the National Publicity Secretary of the ruling Kano State party, also stated in a recent interview with ZINGTIE that although the party was amenable to a conversation about potential alignment, nothing was on the table at this time.
