Despite her hopes for the future, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has said she is grounded in the here and now and recognizes life’s uncertainties.

Speaking during a Channels TV interview The senator from Kogi Central responded to rumors about her political future at 19:39 by saying that her family, friends, and community would be consulted before any decisions about 2027 are made.

“I do believe in the power of now. I celebrate the moment, and I live each day in trust. I might not be alive by 2027, even though I pray to have a long, fulfilled life,” she said.

Her media team shared a political poster that hinted at her goals beyond 2027, which sparked the conversation. She responded by calling the poster “futuristic, ambitious, and daring.”

She remained evasive when asked if she intends to run for a higher political office or return to the Senate, stating that consultations will inform her choices.

“2027 will be determined based on the consultations I will have—first with my husband, my children, my family, my associates, and of course, my community. If they tell me, ‘Natasha, go ahead,’ I will go ahead. If they tell me to raise the bar and expand my political space, I will do so,” she stated.

Senator Natasha also spoke to the growing confidence of her fans, who expressed that if she were to run again, she could defeat formidable opponents. She admitted that her popularity was growing and credited her efforts to educate and interact with the public.

“I am beginning to have a new kind of followership that believes leadership can improve and that their participation can shape Nigeria’s political space,” she noted.
