Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has revealed what he would accomplish in his first 100 days if elected president in 2027.

During his first 100 days in office, Obi pledged to give priority to a number of issues, including poverty alleviation, health, education, and security.

If elected president of Nigeria, he promised to do things differently.

On Sunday night, the former governor of Anambra State addressed his supporters on an X Space.

He said: “We will do things differently in 2027. We will follow a non-violent approach and insist that the right thing will be done before the result announcement in Abuja. Our votes in 2027 will count, and we will ensure they count.

“Three things to follow up with in the first 100 days. Prioritize security, education and poverty eradication, cut costs and shun corruption.

“My family will not be involved in corruption. Funds to be channelled into key critical sectors.

“My Presidency will ensure there is a strong opposition in party politics. There will be no defection of elected officials to other parties when I am in charge.

“Imagine in this country, people are dying in Benue, Borno, and other parts of the country, and our leaders are commissioning Bus Stops and holidaying.”

He emphasized that leaders should be willing to risk their lives for their supporters and pledged to create a stable administration.

In the meantime, the former governor of Anambra State had stipulated that he would run for president on the opposition coalition’s platform.

Obi stated that if the coalition offered him a one-term presidency, he would accept the opportunity to run.

However, he stated that he and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar have not reached a consensus on a combined ticket.
