2027: PRP attacks APC’s endorsement of Tinubu

The Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, has forcefully reacted against the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu in his 2027 presidential bid.

Mallam Falalu Bello, the party’s national chairman, made this announcement on Saturday.

According to the ZINGTIE, Tinubu was backed for a second term by the National Assembly and the Progressive Governors Forum during the APC National Summit last Thursday.

In response to the endorsement, Bello insisted that the action was motivated more by desperation than by true democratic intent.

He added that rather than representing the true voice of the Nigerian people, the action revealed the APC’s attempt to maintain power through scheming.

The PRP National Chairman, reaffirmed that power is not retained by tactics alone but sustained by the people’s trust and belief, underlining that even the most formidable political machinery falls when the people’s confidence is lost.

According to him, Tinubu’s political apparatus and endorsements may seem formidable, but they cannot mute the screams of the populace suffering under adversity.

“The people’s disillusionment is palpable and when citizens whisper. This is not what we voted for, it signals a fundamental disconnect between leadership and the governed.

“The APC’s current move to endorse Tinubu’s candidacy appears to be a classic case of a desperate power grab—an attempt to cement dominance through endorsements and political theatre rather than delivery of genuine democratic dividends,” he stated.

He challenged Tinubu and the APC to realize that democracy is about providing the people with real services, not merely endorsements.

He asserts that any desperate attempt to undermine the core tenet of democracy is bound to fail.
