Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, made a mistake in his prediction that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election, according to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesome Wike.

He revealed this in his media chat on Monday.

El-Rufai recently claimed that Tinubu would finish third in the 2027 presidential race, which prompted his response.

But according to Wike, El-Rufai’s calculation is incorrect and inaccurate.

El-Rufai and Wike agreed to a wager that Tinubu will win reelection in 2027.

“Elrufai is my friend, but he failed in this mathematics. He goofed; since he knows Tinubu will come third, he should also provide who will be first and second. I will place a bet if El-Rufai agrees, if Tinubu doesn’t win the 2027 election securely.”
