The new library will feature expanded group study areas, a café, library services, an “esports” arena, classrooms, computer labs, and additional faculty offices. This dynamic hub will serve as a central gathering place for students, faculty, and the community.
The anonymous gift brings the university’s campaign total to $9.25 million, just shy of the $10 million goal. Midway University president John P. Marsden expressed his gratitude for the generous donation. “We are incredibly grateful for this anonymous donor’s generosity and belief in our vision,” Marsden said.
Marsden added, “This gift brings us within reach of our fundraising goal and ensures that this project will get underway this summer. We plan to have the building completed by December 2026. Following construction of a new library, the existing library will be renovated to provide additional housing.
