The University of Essex in Colchester, England, awarded the daughter of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan an LL.B. in law.

Alongside Dr. Ayima Lott-Jonathan, who is thought to be his second wife and the graduate’s mother, the pleased father attended the event on Wednesday, July 17, 2025.

After years of being considered his long-term girlfriend, blogger Stella Dimokokorkus claims that Dr. Ayima, who also has twin sons with Jonathan, married him in a low-key wedding two years ago.

Both parents were clearly beaming with joy as they supported their daughter’s academic success overseas, marking a huge family milestone.

The family was celebrating their daughter’s academic achievement, so it was a happy event. Even though Jonathan avoids the spotlight in other aspects of his personal life, his attendance at the ceremony was a time of pride and solidarity for the former first family.
