Although African passports are generally weak, there are five that stand out.

Your passport for foreign travel is your key to a world of convenient travel. A strong passport guarantees you won’t have to go through onerous immigration procedures at airports or complex visa clearance procedures each time you go.

  2. The Island of Mauritius
Trade and investment efforts strengthened the value of the Mauritius passport. Commonwealth nations are convenient for business and travel for their citizens, which appeals to both professionals and visitors. (World Rank: 30; Score Without a Visa: 150)
  3. Africa
The economic giant of Africa stays in the top three. Travel deals to Asia, America, and Russia are beneficial due to South Africa’s expanding market status. (World Rank: 53, Score Without a Visa: 108)
  4. The Botswana
The power of Botswana’s passports exceeds expectations. Obtaining visa-free entrance into any of the 20 member nations of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) facilitates travel for its nationals. (Global Rank: 59, Score Without a Visa: 91)
  5. Namibia
Because of its trade agreement, Namibia’s nationals can visit numerous African nations without a visa, making travel more accessible for them. It can be accessed both domestically and internationally. (World Rank: 65, Score Without a Visa: 80)

Nigeria’s passport rank
Although the Nigerian passport has gained entry without a visa to 11 more locations since 2006, its standing worldwide has dropped 38 spots to 95th place. It is now ranked 34th in Africa. This indicates that the Nigerian passport has limited value.
