A newly constructed general hospital in Ogurute Ulo, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, has been given to a deity for protection.

ZINGTIE discovered that the community fled to a god for safety when various equipment, such as TVs, solar panels, and ambulances, went missing from the hospital.

A man speaking for the community lamented in a video that ZINGTIE could view how unhappy they were with unidentified individuals taking the equipment.

He said: “The people here today are people of Ogurute Ulo community.

“This is Ogurute Ulo General Hospital built for us by the government.

“The government brought for us equipment for taking care of the sick. They brought solar battery, an ambulance, TV sets and all other good things you can think of.

“However, those equipment can no longer be found within a short a time. We are not happy about it.

“So we have agreed to hand over this General Hospital to the deities here. Any man or woman who said he or she is not happy about this hospital and has a hand in the missing items, let the deities take care of them.”
