Veteran performer Charles Oputa, often known as Charly Boy, has made indications that Nnamdi Kanu, the head of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, may soon be released.

Charly Boy said this while downplaying the supposed animosity that Northerners have towards Igbo people.

Charly Boy warned Igbos sabotage activities against Kanu’s release in a post on X.

According to Charly Boy: “I am not a Sowore fan but on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s right, he got it right.

“Northerners can hate the Igbos all they want but they can Never Stop their Shine.

“To all the Saboteurs in Igbo land, there are people taking note, they see all that you scum bags do.

“For me, I am only waiting for the D day, cos I know it’s fast approaching. Dia Fathers.”

This occurs after several Igbo politicians were accused by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, of impeding efforts to free Kanu.

Politicians attempting to thwart Kanu’s release should immediately backtrack, according to IPOB.

These politicians ought to be prepared to accept the repercussions of their acts, according to IPOB spokesperson Emma Powerful.

This comes after senators and governors from the Southeast decided to meet with President Bola Tinubu to discuss finding a political solution for Kanu.
