With enough delegates won, US Vice President Kamala Harris is the Democratic Party’s front-runner for president.

According to Fox News, the formal nomination process for Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate began virtually on Thursday.

While speaking with supporters over the phone, Harris stated, “I am honored to be the presumptive Democratic nominee,”

Less than two weeks have passed after President Biden concluded his reelection campaign when the Democratic National Committee began its electronic voting process for their party’s 2024 standard bearer.

Rather, Biden supported Harris to take his place at the top of the ticket.

The Democratic Party will end its virtual roll call on Monday. This is two weeks before the party’s convention at the United Centre in Chicago kicks off on August 19.
