In an interview with NBC News on Saturday, former US President Donald Trump unveiled his lofty plans for his first day in office, should he be re-elected.
Trump declared that he will sign a record-breaking number of executive orders as soon as he finished his inaugural address on Monday, while he was in Washington on Saturday before his inauguration.
Trump declared that programs implemented by the departing Biden administration would be the focus of the executive orders.
Although he did not specify a precise figure, he called the scale “record-setting,” implying that it might be more than 100.
When questioned about the figure, he said, “At least in that category.”
The former president also reaffirmed his pledge to promptly carry out a program of mass deportations aimed at unauthorised immigrants.
He stated that the procedure would start “very, very quickly,” but he would not name any cities or areas.
Trump promised, “You’ll see it firsthand,” implying that his administration’s measures will be immediate.
