According to Hon. Chief Bright Igodo Ogaji, a senatorial candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, the appointment of former Senate President Senator David Mark as the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will help the party win in 2027.

In addition, Ogaji praised the recently formed Benue State party leadership, calling it a new era for both the state and Nigeria overall.

Remember that the ruling All Progressives Congress and prominent Nigerian opposition leaders formally launched the ADC last week in Abuja. Senator Mark served as the ADC’s interim national chairman, and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, a former governor of the State of Osun, was named the ADC’s interim national secretary.

Following its Wednesday launch in Benue State, the party assumed control of the PDP’s Secretariat, where former Speaker pro tempore of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Terngu Tsegba and former member for the Obi/Oju Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu were appointed Interim Chairman and Secretary, respectively.

In a statement he personally signed, Chief Ogaji responded by expressing his strong faith in the ADC’s leadership in Benue and nationally and asking his supporters to join the party as a fresh vehicle that would take them to the promised land.

In particular, the former chairman of the Benue State Oju Local Government Council, whose throngs of supporters made a strong show at the event, praised Senator Mark’s exceptional leadership abilities over the years, calling him a game-changer who has triumphed in rescuing Nigeria from the bonds of oppression and underdevelopment.

He said, “the new face of ADC (Senator Mark), no doubt, is a game-changer that has come through a storm to rescue Nigeria from the shackles of oppression, underdevelopment and return Benue and Nigeria to a path of inclusive development, prosperity and pride.

“His emergence and those of the Benue leadership, has given birth to a renewed Nigeria destined for growth.”

“I urge all my supporters, home and abroad, to queue behind these great leaders of our land, to make the new party work, for Benue people and Nigerians”, Ogaji said.
