Hoffenheim striker Gift Orban has expressed his determination to help the club avoid relegation from the Bundesliga this season.
Christian Ilzer’s side has had a challenging campaign and is fighting hard to retain their top-flight status. Currently, Hoffenheim sits in 14th place on the league table with 27 points from 28 games.
Orban, who joined Hoffenheim from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon in January, has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in his first seven appearances for the club.
The 24-year-old is eager to score more goals to help secure the team’s survival.
“Hoffenheim is a good club, but in a difficult situation. Many clubs contacted me in the winter, but here the management treated me with respect and convinced me,” he told the club’s official website.
“I now want to score even more goals and work hard to ensure that we stay in the league.”
