The new center will be dedicated to advancing the best science and new clinical trials, leading to safer and more effective treatments, improved quality of life, and potential cures for patients. According to Mary Beckerle, CEO of Huntsman Cancer Institute, “Huntsman Cancer Institute is united with Sigma Chi in our ambition to end cancer as we know it.” She further emphasized the impact of the center, saying, “The Sigma Chi Center for Advanced Therapeutics and Innovation will allow us to advance the best science and new clinical trials that will materially change cancer outcomes for individuals across North America and beyond. We are so grateful to Sigma Chi for making this new commitment in our shared quest to eradicate cancer.

This pledge builds on Sigma Chi’s previous commitments, including an $11 million pledge in 2019 and a $20 million pledge in 2025 to support women’s cancer care research, treatment, and prevention at Huntsman. The organization expects to meet its funding goal within five to seven years, demonstrating its long-term commitment to this life-changing cause.
