According to Dr. Emmanuel Okon, Managing Director of EATECH, the initiative was driven by the need to promote knowledge, particularly in science and technology. “Ignorance remains a major challenge in society, and investments in education are critical to long-term development,” he said
Dr Okon also announced plans to establish a computer-based test centre in the school to support digital literacy and testing. “The proposed centre will offer training in basic ICT tools and introduce students to coding, robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence,” he added.
The Director of Schools, Mrs Esitmbom Ekpo, thanked the company for honouring its earlier pledge. “The laboratories are a major improvement to the school’s infrastructure and will enhance science education and student performance,” she said.
The new laboratories were formally unveiled during the school’s 2025 graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the school’s development
