According to ZINGTIE, Portugal is seeking a friendly match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The friendly is scheduled for June 6, with the venue expected to be in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and their Portuguese counterparts are anticipated to finalize the details of the friendly match soon.
The Super Eagles impressed at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, drawing attention with their performances.
In their last friendly match in November 2022, Portugal triumphed over Nigeria with a scoreline of 4-0.
The ex-European champions scored through Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, as well as Gonçalo Ramos and João Mário, during the match.
