Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has increased the price of premium motor spirit following an upward adjustment in gantry prices by Dangote Refinery.

A market survey conducted by ZINGTIE on Thursday revealed that NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja and surrounding areas have raised petrol pump prices to N1,364 per litre from N1,295, indicating an increase of N69 per litre by the state-owned oil company.

The revised fuel prices have already been effected at NNPCL stations located in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 6, and Zone 4 in Abuja.

“We adjusted our pump price to N1364 per liter from N1295 this morning, an attendant said.

Other filling stations in Abuja, including MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, BOVAS Group, and others, have also increased their petrol prices to a range between N1,365 and N1,370 per litre.

It will be recalled that Dangote Refinery on Wednesday raised its fuel gantry price by N75 to N1,275 per litre from N1,200, citing an increase in crude oil prices to above $115 per barrel.
