Swedish club AIK Fotboll have stopped Zadok Yohanna from linking up with the Nigeria national football team for the Unity Cup in London, ZINGTIE reports.

Zadok was among several new players named in the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly tournament by head coach, Éric Chelle, on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old sustained a hamstring injury while featuring for the Gnaget two weeks ago.

The winger, who is still recovering from the injury, is expected to return to action before the end of the month.

AIK stated that the decision to prevent him from participating in the Unity Cup was made for sporting reasons and due to the player’s health condition.

Zadok has recorded two goals and three assists in seven league appearances for AIK this season.
