The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly arrested controversial entertainer DJ Chicken over an alleged threat against the life of President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

DJ Chicken had, two days earlier, shared a video online in which he claimed that President Bola Tinubu would not secure re-election in 2027 and allegedly threatened to kill Seyi Tinubu if the president won another term.

Following the circulation of the viral video, reports of DJ Chicken’s arrest began making rounds on social media two days later.

However, during a livestream on Thursday night, content creator Tunde Perry confirmed that DJ Chicken had been arrested.

“DJ Chicken did a video that Tinubu can’t win the next election. Knowing fully well that Tinubu is the only Yoruba man contesting for the next presidential election in 2027. And said even if Tinubu wins, he will kill Seyi Tinubu. The president and his son are not responsible for his arrest but those close to the presidency did.”
