On Thursday, Vice President Kashim Shettima incited minor commotion when he asked Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara to greet Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.

Shettima pleaded at the Presidential Villa in Abuja during a meeting with President Bola Tinubu and state governors.

A few service chiefs were at the conference as well.

According to credible reports, Tinubu called the meeting to discuss the recent spike in insecurity in many regions of the country as well as the economic hardships of the people.

In the meantime, there has been a quiet power struggle between Wike and Fubara to control Rivers State.

Despite being a minister, Wike, the immediate past governor of Rivers, has been trying to adhere to the state’s political system.

There are hints that Wike and Fubara are involved in a cold war even though they signed a peace agreement mediated by Tinubu.
