The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Abia State has declared that it is not negotiating a merger or alliance with any political party or entering into a political agreement with any individual for 2027.

In a statement released on Monday, Abraham Amah, the chairman of the PDP Abia State, confirmed that his party’s structure and tactics have not changed.

Amah in response to rumors that his party would form a political collaboration in Abia or elsewhere before the 2027 elections, stated, “Those peddling the insinuations are agents of confusion who have long deviated from the PDP ethos. They shall be resisted at every front.”

He advised PDP members in Abia to ignore what he described as a campaign of defamation by expelled members, confusion agents, or infiltrators with outside funding.

Amah claimed that the promotion of the “unholy merger” might be the work of some people whose allegiance has long since moved away from the PDP’s collective interest.

Regarding the PDP National Secretary problem, the chairman of the Abia State PDP said that Samuel Anyanwu had won the case.
