President Bola Tinubu’s nomination of Okezie Ikpeazu, a former governor of Abia State, as an ambassador has been commended by the PDP’s Abia State branch.

The party claimed the nomination was well-deserved in a statement released by its chairman, Amah Abraham, on behalf of the State Working Committee, SWC, and other members.

The Abia PDP claims that President Tinubu’s nomination of Ikpeazu is a blatant acknowledgement of his devoted service, inspiring leadership, and steadfast dedication to peace, advancement, and Nigeria’s overall growth.

“This appointment is a clear recognition of Dr Ikpeazu’s years of dedicated service, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to the peace, progress, and development of Abia State and Nigeria at large.

“As a party, we take pride in his accomplishments and steadfast devotion to public service,” Abraham said.

The party further stated that President Tinubu’s choice to appoint the former governor of Abia as an ambassador highlights the significance of skill, experience, and inclusive governance in constructing a better Nigeria.

It also conveyed trust in Ikpeazu’s ability to represent Nigeria with dignity.
