Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has initiated legal proceedings against a Facebook user identified as Okwulora, over the circulation of false claims concerning his health and family life.

The individual in question had alleged that the actor had suffered a stroke and was neglected by his sons, leaving only his daughter to care for him.

In response, Clem Ohameze took to social media to firmly refute the allegations, clarifying that he does not have three sons and has never made any public statement suggesting otherwise.

In an emotional video, the actor voiced his distress over the repeated spread of misinformation regarding his health, revealing that the false reports have caused unnecessary pain and worry to his loved ones.

He confirmed that legal measures have already been set in motion against Okwulora, stressing the harm done to his image and his resolve to defend his name against defamatory content.

“I called my friend who is a director in the DSS and I have initiated a police case, this is a cybercrime. If you want cheap popularity go get it somewhere else because I will not allow some idiot tarnish my image because you want to attract traffic to your page.

“The other time, it was that I was dead, now it is that I had a stroke, but who did I grant the interview to? Do I have three sons? What nonsense is this?

“I believe he is satisfied. I had to call my children, and fortunately, it was only my daughter who heard about it. Why would people do this to me?” he said.
