Arrested Nollywood actress and singer, Angela Okorie, despite fulfilling her bail conditions continues to be held in Suleja prison.

As reported by ZINGTIE, Angela was granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, amounting to N5 million. This bail requires one surety of the same amount who is a level 13 civil servant.

It has been reported that her bail was arranged thanks to the efforts of various activists, such as Omoyele Sowore, Mama Pee, actor Stanley Ontop, and Randy Peter.

The actress continues to be incarcerated, even though she has satisfied the conditions of her bail.

The development ignited debate on social media.

Stanley Ontop, an actor, clarified in an Instagram story why the actress remains in custody, stating that her bail condition was processed late on Friday.

Assuring the public that Angela would be released on Monday, Stanley wrote, “Angela Okorie Bail application has been processed, but after we had finished the processing, time has gone.

“So she will be out from Suleja prison by Monday. We have met all her bail conditions, we await Monday for her release.”
