Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has raised alarm over alleged threats to her life by her estranged husband, Chibuzor Erifike.
In a recent social media post, Okoro expressed deep concern about her safety, revealing that her husband’s behavior has grown increasingly controlling and aggressive.
“This marriage is not working. The shoe I took home is not my size. When he came I thought it was love,” she said.
Okoro claimed that Erifike frequently pressured her for money from her professional engagements and became hostile when she refused.
“I got a little money for an advert in Lagos, less than my normal endorsement fee. He wanted the money, and when I refused, he got angry,” the actress claimed.
She also mentioned that the relationship lacked emotional support and intimacy. Attempts to involve his family, she said, failed to bring about any resolution.
The actress further expressed unease over his growing jealousy, especially after she shared images of her newly completed house on social media.
She disclosed that she has filed a formal complaint with the police, citing both troubling dreams and whispers of potential threats to her life.
“I have already petitioned the police. People are saying he wants to kidnap me because I posted the house. I built that house myself. I started that house before we started any relationship,” she alleged.
