The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, for its nursing program and eight other courses across five faculties. The accreditation follows a visit by NUC in October and November 2024 to assess the university’s academic programs.

According to a letter signed by NUC’s Acting Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the commission’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, the fully accredited programs include nursing, environmental health science, Christian religious studies, history and international studies, music, performing arts, law, mathematics, and statistics. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at ACU also received accreditation
ACU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, thanked NUC for its transparency and efforts to develop university education in Nigeria. “This outcome reflects our commitment to academic excellence and integrity,” he said. “On behalf of the University Senate and the Governing Council, I thank NUC for its transparent accreditation process. I also commend the staff and our students for making this achievement possible.”
