Due to his failure to show up for a reconciliation meeting about the accusation that he had an affair with a married woman, the suspended Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, has been proclaimed wanted by the Kano State Hisbah Board.

Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, the Commandant General of Hisbah, told reporters during a press conference in his office on Monday that the issue at hand necessitated a meeting with the parties concerned before taking any further action. However, he claimed that Sankara rejected the invitation to a reconciliation meeting.

“The commissioner chooses to ignore our moves at tackling the matter at our levels, hence the need to arrest him and prosecute him,” he stated.

According to Sheikh Daurawa, his office is “professionally known for Islamic virtues and reconciliatory actions on matters of this magnitude,” and when appropriate resolution is not achieved, legal action is typically taken.
