AFCON 2023: Adebayor predicts country to win trophy

Nigeria is predicted to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by former Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

He made this statement when Adebayor visited the Super Eagles team hotel in Abidjan on Tuesday morning.

The former Arsenal star supported the three-time African winners before their second group match against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

“I’m rooting for the Super Eagles to win the trophy.

He told Completesports, “I’m with Nigeria and hope the players will deliver.”

On Sunday, the Eagles and Equatorial Guinea drew 1-1 to start the season.

In Group A, they share second place with the Ivorians.
