AFCON 2023: Iwobi takes drastic action after Ivory Coast defeat

Alex Iwobi, the midfielder for the Super Eagles, has removed every photo from his official Instagram page.

ZINGTIE verified during a brief inspection on Monday afternoon that there is just a single video remaining on the account.

The comment section is locked, and the video was uploaded ten weeks ago.

Following Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday, Iwobi was among the players who faced criticism.

The midfielder for Fulham played for 79 minutes, but the Eagles were unable to win more than three AFCON crowns.

Alhassan Yusuf took his position during the game’s last ten minutes.
