Kelechi Iheanacho is now completely healthy to compete in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, according to Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro.

In a late-night conversation with media in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Paseiro made this statement.

“Kelechi will be with us in Cote d’Ivoire. He has finished his treatment at Leicester City,” he declared.

He stated that Iheanacho would now travel to the AFCON with the rest of the Super Eagles team, having recovered from his muscular injury.

According to ZINGTIE, Iheanacho missed the team’s week-long training camp in Abu Dhabi because of an injury.

In order to completely recuperate for the AFCON, which begins on Saturday in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the striker for Leicester City remained at his club.

After attending a special dinner hosted by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos on Tuesday (today), the three-time champion Super Eagles are slated to leave for Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday to compete in the 34th AFCON finals.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to play Equatorial Guinea in the opening game of the month-long AFCON tournament on February 11 at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
