AFCON: Results of yesterday’s matches, all fixtures for today

The results of Tuesday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) matches have been released.

Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory over Tanzania in their Group C opener, with goals from Semi Ajayi and Ademola Lookman.

In the same group, Tunisia defeated Uganda 3-1, thanks to strikes from Elyes Skhiri, Elias Achouri, and Denis Omedi for the Carthage Eagles.

In Group D, Senegal recorded a 3-0 win against Botswana, while DR Congo edged past Benin Republic 1-0.

Additional matches are scheduled later today in Groups E and F.

Algeria will take on Sudan, and Burkina Faso will face Equatorial Guinea.

Cameroon is set to play Gabon, while defending AFCON champions Ivory Coast will meet Mozambique.
