Tranyelle Harshman, a mother of four, killed three of her daughters and left one struggling for her life after shooting all four of them before turning the pistol on herself.
According to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office, the 32-year-old opened fire on her own children, ages 2, 7, and 9, inside their Byron, Wyoming, home on Monday, February 10.
According to the sheriff’s office, a woman contacted 911 and said, “Her daughters had been shot, and she believed her kids were de@d.”
Additionally, she informed dispatchers that she intended to shoot herself while in her bedroom upstairs.
“The dispatcher pleaded with the female caller over the phone for the female caller to remain on the line until responding suits arrived,”stated the sheriff’s office.
“The female caller stated multiple times that she could not do that and that it was too late.”
The call was dropped shortly after that.
Three of the daughters had d!ed when the cops came.
After being sent to a neighboring hospital with her 7-year-old daughter, Olivia, Harshman was declared dead.
She had her daughter evacuated to Salt Lake City from Billings, Montana “for the closest and best neurology care team,” according to a GoFundMe page.
“Olivia has suffered severe traumatic brain injury and is fighting hard for her life!” the page states.
“She is in critical condition; the next few days will be crucial for her outcome.
“If she does pull through this, she and the family have a very long road ahead of them, a lot of unknown right now. This loss and hurt is unimaginable.”
According to the page, the two younger victims were half-sisters, and Brailey was the eldest sibling.
Their father Quinn and his wife Katelynn Blackmer, a young couple with a one-year-old boy, are their only survivors.
“When you’re in a small community like this, you know, everyone rubs shoulders with everyone. It’s just devastating,” Byron Mayor Allen Clark told MTN News.
“I just hope and pray that the family can endure and hopefully brighter days ahead.”
As of Wednesday afternoon Feb 12, the Blackmers’ GoFundMe page has raised over $42,000.
More than a year had passed since a mother in Massachusetts allegedly killed her three children by strangulation before attempting suicide.
