President Bola Tinubu’s intervention over the health of Nollywood actor Zack Orji, who recently traveled to the UK for a post-surgery evaluation, has been acknowledged by Dr. Emeka Rollas, National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN.
Rollas thanked President Tinubu for his fatherly concern for the creative profession in a statement released on Saturday. She also praised Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, for her maternal care towards the legendary actress and the President’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for his continuous support.
Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the minister of women’s affairs, was also praised for her efforts to see Orji’s speedy recovery.
The AGN President stated that Orji appreciated his longtime friend Ahmed Bala’s support during this difficult time.
“We have witnessed the unprecedented support that President Tinubu is giving to the creative industry,” he said.
“This has clearly shown his clear determination to uplift the sector to be more relevant and beneficial to both the practitioners and the national economy and we find it necessary to appreciate him.
“We also appreciate the Minister for Women Affair, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, for her relentless efforts in ensuring that Zack Orji gets back on his feet hale and hearty.
“Zack Orji equally extends his profound gratitude to his longtime friend, Ahmed Bala, for standing by him all through the period.”
