In Lagos State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has established an electoral committee to hold primaries for the local government election scheduled for July 12.

This was revealed in a statement on Monday by Mr. Seye Oladejo, the spokesperson for the Lagos APC.

He appointed Mr. Babatunde Ogala, a former national legal adviser to the party, to chair the committee.

Oladejo also appointed Mr. Babarinde Nurudeen to serve as the committee’s secretary.

“The committee is empowered to oversee all the activities and processes leading to the conduct of the elections into the grassroots positions.

“The party has considered the immense experience of the gentlemen in making the appointment. We do not doubt that they will deliver on this important assignment.

“We urge all and sundry to give the requisite support and cooperation to ensure our collective success,” Oladejo added.
