President Bola Tinubu has been encouraged by Senate President Godswill Akpabio to issue a warning to his cabinet’s uncooperative ministers who refuse to accept invitations from the National Assembly.

Since these ministers are not Democrats, Akpabio claimed they had no place in Tinubu’s administration.

When the President gave a joint session of the National Assembly his 2025 budget estimates, which totalled N49.7 trillion, he made this call on Wednesday.

Speaking in front of a full house of senators and representatives, Akpabio claimed that people who reject invitations from the National Assembly are not democratic and should not be in Tinubu’s cabinet.

“Those who disregard invitation by the National Assembly are not democratic and therefore have no place in your government,” Akpabio said.
