A syndicate that specialized in child trafficking and organ harvesting was discovered and dismantled by agents of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps.
Numerous youngsters from Ondo State have allegedly been taken by the network and sold to their partners in Anambra State.
According to reports, Amotekun pursued the syndicate following the kidnapping of a little child named Eriponmile in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
The accused were taken into custody when the baby was located and taken to a hospital in the Southeast.
Adetunji Adeleye, the commander of Ondo Amotekun, who paraded the suspects, claimed that the infant was saved because of the prompt action taken.
“We received a distress call from the Ijoka Davog area that Eriponmile had been kidnapped and taken away, and we immediately swung into action.
“Within 48 hours, our indicators showed that Eriponmile was already outside Ondo State.
“We spread out our dragnet, deployed our plainclothes operatives, and by the grace of God, we were able to bring Eriponmile back to Ondo State to be reunited with his mother and father.
“The team tracked the boy to a hospital in the eastern part of the country, where he had already been tested and declared medically fit to be harvested by one Amaka, suspected to be a major player in the gruesome trade,” he said.
Amaka Ngozi Ifeanyi, Adaeze Kenneth Etose, and Omolara were among those taken into custody. There are reportedly two more at large.
Amotekun was thanked by the Father of the rescued boy, Eriseun Omolewo, for the prompt action to rescue his son.
