The declining health of Chief Chidozie Nwangwu, a member of the Oba Youth Forum (OYF) in the Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State, has prompted concern.

In a press release sent to the Anambra State media and human rights community, the forum’s president, Chief Onyebuike Okonkwo, sounded the alarm and urged Governor Chukwuma Soludo to grant Chief Nwangwu amnesty so he could take care of his ailment.

A native doctor named Akwa Akuko was detained by the state vigilante organization Udogachi for his detrimental impact on the state’s youth and others, giving them the idea that they might help them become wealthy quickly by preparing charms.

As a result, they were brought before the Anambra High State Court, where he was given strict bail guidelines. He has stayed in custody ever since.

However, the Oba Youth president claimed that Chief Nwangwu’s elderly father had a stroke after going into a coma, which prevented his son from being released, and he begged the governor to release the native physician.

In light of the upcoming governorship election, the youth leader urged the governor to free Chief Nwangwu so that he may not only exercise his right to vote but also rally Oba and the other Idemili youth for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

He promised that Akwa Okuko would never break his bail terms if he were granted amnesty.

The young people also assured the governor that no vote would go to the opposition in their region and that all of the Idemili South Local Government Area would rally their sons and daughters for the APGA during the governorship election.

According to information obtained, the local physician who has been detained and is being charged in the Anambra State High Court was taken to Amaku General Hospital on Tuesday due to an unidentified sickness.

However, according to insiders, he was seriously ill with heart-related conditions.
