Jude Ezenwafor, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor of Anambra State in the recently concluded election, has promised to collaborate with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to further the state’s development.
Ezenwafor made this claim on Monday during an appearance with “Sunrise Daily,” a Channels Television show that ZINGTIE watches.
He said he had a friendly and long-standing relationship with Soludo.
“I can assist him. I have been assisting him before; he is my friend. I brought him to work in Anambra,” he said.
He disclosed that while working as previous governor Willie Obiano’s Senior Special Assistant, he urged Soludo to run for governor.
“I convinced Soludo to contest the election in the first instance, when I was Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano. He came, he did well, and there is no perfect person,” Ezenwafor added.
Ezenwafor acknowledged concerns about the state’s security and praised Soludo and his group for taking initiative.
He counseled the governor to prioritise security efforts and give inclusivity first priority.
Ezenwafor called accusations of vote-buying during the election “exaggerated.”
