Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, a member of the National Assembly, has counseled all tiers of government to give top priority to measures that will promote respectable working conditions for the nation’s labor force.
In a statement released on Thursday, Alli, who runs for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and represents the Oyo South Senatorial District, urged workers to celebrate this year’s Workers Day.
ZINGTIE in Ibadan was given access to the statement, which was signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas.
The congressman argued that measures that support equitable pay and opportunity for workers would enhance the nation’s workforce’s professional growth.
In the statement, Alli also praised employees for their tenacity, commitment, and steadfast contributions to the advancement of the state and the nation as a whole.
In spite of many economic difficulties, he also took the chance to recognize the vital roles that workers have been playing in promoting growth and maintaining vital industries.
Workers, he said, are the foundation of the state’s development.
“I acknowledged the invaluable roles workers play in driving growth and sustaining critical sectors, despite numerous economic challenges.
“The celebration was a reminder of the need to continually improve the welfare, safety and rights of workers.
“I urged government at all levels to prioritize policies that foster decent work conditions, fair wages and opportunities for professional development”
