The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Egume/Dekina State Constituency bye-election held on Saturday in Kogi State.

Professor Emmanuel Onoja Eneche, the Returning Officer, officially announced the APC candidate, Musa Hassan Yakubu, as the winner after he secured a total of 55,073 votes.

His closest opponent, Godwin Meliga of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), received 1,038 votes. Egene Joseph Ugbede of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) polled 445 votes, while Amos Ahaiba from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) garnered 141. Rilwan Mudi of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) got 5 votes, and Yakubu Ugbede of the Action Alliance (AA) managed 16 votes.
