Prince (Dr.) Arthur Eze, OFR, a well-known philanthropist and businessman from the South East, has been appointed Chairman of the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management (IBUAM) Governing Council.
The university’s board and management team formally presented Prince Eze with an appointment letter during the unveiling ceremony, which took place in Abuja on Friday.
During the event, Comrade Isaac Balami, the university’s founder and president, stated that Chief Eze was appointed in honor of his exceptional contributions to national development, education, and philanthropy.
He characterized the billionaire as a man who has continuously utilized his fortune to improve institutions and people, adding that the vision and goal of the fledgling university would greatly benefit from his leadership.
Balami said: “Our leader and chairman, Prince Dr. Arthur Eze, chairman of the governing council of the newly licensed Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management, courtesy of Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu.
“We are presenting this to you not just as a leader who has distinguished himself on the African soil, but as a global citizen.
“You founded an airline and operated one of the biggest aircraft hangars in Europe, based in Stansted Airport, and you understand aviation very well. This responsibility is for you to guide us the way you have guided others.
“We are totally submissive to your leadership, your guidance, and your prayers. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Senate of the university, chaired by Prof. AVM (Rtd.) Paul Jemitola, who is also the Vice Chancellor, we congratulate you, sir.”
In his acceptance speech, Prince Arthur Eze pledged to assist the university’s expansion and prosperity and thanked the founder and administration for their faith in him.
He pointed out that the university’s mission and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s are similar, especially in terms of advancing education, innovation, and the development of human potential.
Renowned from the South East, Prince Eze is internationally praised for his generosity and unshakable dedication to African leadership development and national progress. Eze has made large investments in both the public and commercial sectors and is widely regarded as one of the cleanest businesspeople on the continent.
Recently granted an operating license, the Isaac Balami University of Aeronautic and Management seeks to offer top-notch instruction in engineering, technology, management, and aviation.
The university’s appointments span all of Nigeria, reflecting its national perspective. The chairman of the governing council is from the South East, although the founder is from the North East. With a pro-chancellor from the South West and a registrar from the North Central, the institution is situated in the South West.
Despite being a private university, experts claim that IBUAM has a national character because of its variety. Notable figures from Morocco, Ethiopia, Egypt, the United States, and Europe have also joined the institution’s board, demonstrating its worldwide focus and dedication to international norms.
