Nigerian goalkeeper, Arthur Okonkwo, has named Manchester United legend Edwin Van Der Sar as the greatest goalkeeper of all time.
Speaking on the Wrexham Podcast, Okonkwo also shared insights into his childhood loyalty to Manchester United.
When asked to name his No. 1 goalkeeper, he answered: “Van der Sar. I was a Man United fan. I grew up watching.”
Okonkwo currently plays for Championship side Wrexham.
He has quietly built a solid career over the past three years, having left Arsenal in 2024 to join the Red Dragons.
At 24 years old, Okonkwo played a key role in helping Wrexham gain promotion from League One to the Championship.
Since then, Okonkwo has established himself as the team’s starting goalkeeper, recording ten clean sheets in 38 appearances.
