The Republican presidential contender, former President Donald Trump, has consented to a “victim interview” with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The FBI clarified that Trump will be subjected to a victim interview regarding the abortive attempt on his life that occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania around a month ago.
The interview with Trump will be “a standard victim interview like we would do for any other victim of crime under any other circumstances,” according to FBI special agent Kevin Rojek.
When Trump was running for president in Butler, Thomas Mathew Crooks made an attempt to kill him but failed, and he was later killed.
Monday, in a statement, Rojek said: “We want to get his perspective on what he observed.
“We have learned the subject was highly intelligent, attended college and maintained steady employment.
“His primary social circle appears to be limited to his immediate family as we believe he had few friends and acquaintances.”
According to FBI investigators, Crooks’s parents have stated that they were unaware of their son’s plot beforehand.“We do find that to be credible at this stage,” Rojek said.
