After an attack on his convoy in Birnin Kebbi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami on Monday.

According to witnesses, the incident happened close to the secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), resulting in around ten vehicles being damaged and multiple supporters being hurt.

Malami said that the incident had a political motive and that thugs with stones and guns had targeted his caravan.

Atiku condemned the incident and issued a warning about the nation’s growing political violence.

“This trend is dangerous. Security agencies and political leaders must take urgent steps to stop it,” he said.
