Nigerian music star Ayra Starr has achieved a major milestone by becoming the first African female artist to reach 5 million followers on Spotify.

This new record marks a significant moment for the singer, who gained global recognition with her hit track “Rush.”

Despite this achievement, Ayra Starr still ranks behind Tems in terms of total streams by an African female artist on the platform.

Ayra currently has 2.7 billion streams across all her Spotify credits, while Tems leads with 3.8 billion.

Her most played track on the platform is “Santa,” which has garnered over 707 million streams. Among her lead singles, “Rush” holds the top spot with more than 474 million plays.
