Singer Ayra Starr has voiced concerns that her recent social media trend, titled ‘Hot Body’, might lead to conspiracy theories surrounding her.

The artist behind ‘Hot Body’ admitted she’s worried the trend’s unique approach could lead to accusations of being involved in the supernatural.

“I better not get any mami water allegation because of this hot body video,” she shared via her X handle.

‘Hot Body’ is Ayra Starr’s first single since joining American mogul Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. She and her team created a trend for the song where young women dance and flaunt their “hot bodies” while it played on the background.

The trend has attracted criticism, with some accusing Ayra Starr of endorsing indecency. Fellow artist Jaywon recently questioned her style choices and wondered aloud if she lacks parental guidance.

Back in 2023, Ayra Starr’s label mate Rema faced similar public scrutiny when he was accused of incorporating “satanic/Illuminati” imagery during his headline performance at London’s O2 Arena on November 14.

Responding to the backlash on X, Rema clarified that the artificial horse featured in his show was modeled after a Benin artifact, and the mask he wore resembled the historic Queen Idia mask.

In a March 2025 interview with Rolling Stone, Rema also dismissed claims accusing him of “being part of the Illuminati, worshipping the devil, and drinking blood.”
