Reports have arisen stating that Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, may be ready to take Titilayo Ashabi as his seventh wife. The monarch, famed for his rich cultural background and enormous impact, has had a history of high-profile romances.
When he fathered his first child, Adeola Aanuolouwapo Ogunwusi, in May 1994 with Omolara Olatubosun, he was in one of the most prominent partnerships throughout his adolescent years in Ibadan. Although their path was not without difficulties, they co-parented Adeola despite not being married to Omolara.
The Ooni had been absent during the early years of their daughter’s infancy, but they have since made an effort to keep their relationship amicable for the benefit of their child, Omolara disclosed in an interview conducted in November 2021.
Although there has been no confirmation from the Ooni, the public and his subjects are very curious and have been speculating about his possible marriage to Ashabi.
Although Ogunwusi and Adebukola Bombata were married in 2008, they divorced in 2016. In March 2016, he then wed Beninese woman Zaynab Otiti Obanor. Their marriage ended in divorce, finalized in August 2017, after Zaynab filed for divorce in 2017.
Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi and Ogunwusi were married in October 2018. But in December 2021, Naomi took to Instagram to declare their split. Although Naomi continues to be involved in public life, the palace later refuted this report.
Ooni married six ladies between September and October of 2022. Mariam Anako, a native Ebira from Kogi State, was married on September 6th 2022.
He married Ondo State native Elizabeth Opeoluwa Akinmuda on September 7, 2022. On October 9, 2022, Tobi Phillips of Okitipupa, Ondo State, became his third wife.
He married Ashley Afolashade Adegoke, an Ile-Ife princess, on October 14, 2022. On October 20, 2022, he married Ronke Ademiluyi, another Ile-Ife princess, as his fifth wife. Finally, Asake Temitope Morenike Adesegun became his sixth wife on October 24, 2022.
But according to some rumours circulating on social media, the Ooni of Ife intends to wed Titilayo Ashabi as his seventh bride.
