Bangladesh bans Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp other social media

Bangladesh has outlawed its people’ usage of YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.

This was revealed on Friday by Global Eyes News on its official X account.

It is implied that these popular social media apps are no longer accessible starting on Friday across the nation.

This comes after Meta’s previous closure from July 17 to July 31, which was put in place in response to disturbances resulting from protests over quota reform.

The announcement was made just hours after Turkey declared an Instagram ban.
