Former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa has expressed her willingness to adopt a baby abandoned by the riverside in Kogi State.

A resident of the Ajaokuta area, Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, shared a video of a baby girl found crying near the Niger Bridge by a community leader. The leader reported that baby clothes, a wrapper, and other items were also discovered at the scene.

He mentioned that the community would inform local government authorities and care for the baby while attempting to locate her mother.

In response to the video, Uriel offered to adopt the child in the comments section of a blog post. She promised to provide the baby with excellent care, stating, “Please let me have her. She will never go hungry.”

It is unclear whether the reality star has reached out to the proper authorities to begin the adoption process.

Notably, in 2023, Uriel opened up about her struggle with amenorrhea, a condition where menstruation is absent for an extended period. She described this health challenge as “the lowest point” of her life, sharing that doctors had told her she might never be able to have children.
